Nocturne captures the quiet authority of the tawny owl at rest. Perched and alert, the owl’s head turned slightly, as if listening rather than watching, drawing attention to the heightened awareness that defines nocturnal life. I often hear the iconic male and female 'twit'-'twoo' call from a pair that live in the woodland behind our garden.
